These earrings from the Band Series feature tanzanite, a stone known for its striking deep blue-violet hue. Depending on the angle from which it is viewed and how the light hits it, the tanzanite’s blue and violet undertones shift gently, creating a stone that combines transparency with depth. The stones are shaped into a sharp, nearly triangular form, and when light hits the cut surfaces, the internal layers of color appear three-dimensional. Band series
Unlike conventional stone clasps, this unique stone clasp is set with gold lines and unevenness by digging a groove in the stone. The stone is not covered by claws, so the entire view of the stone can be seen, and the non-decorative structure is a feature of the design.
The series is the result of handiwork that “only a person can do” to the nearest 0.1 millimeter, using advanced processing techniques by a precious stone engraver and a craftsman dedicated to metalworking in Kofu.
