For the pierced-ear version, you can adjust how much chain hangs in front of and behind the ear by changing the point at which the chain passes through the piercing. Keep the pearl close to the ear for a cleaner look, or let it hang lower to emphasize the movement of both chain and pearl. Because the fine K18 chain appears and disappears through the hair, the long silhouette remains light and delicate rather than heavy.
The clip-on version has a fixed length, but offers the same elongated silhouette and swaying chain. Refined like pearl yet lighter in impression than a conventional stud, it works easily from everyday styling to dressed-up looks.
Details
The pearl is a twin Akoya pearl approximately 6–9 mm, similar in scale to TWIN EARRING S. The TWIN series does not select pearls solely for their unusual form; the quality of the Akoya pearl itself is equally important. Through relationships with pearl suppliers in Ise-Shima that began when januka designed the lapel pins for the Ise-Shima Summit, we select the most lustrous examples possible from among many twins.
The pierced-ear version, including the chain, is made in K18 yellow gold and measures approximately 10.5 cm overall. A clip-on version is also available, using K10 yellow gold for the earring fitting.
