Larger and more noticeable than the S size but still easy to wear every day, M offers a well-balanced middle scale within the TWIN series and is a good choice if you are unsure which size to select. Worn horizontally, the two pearls sit side by side for a slightly playful, ribbon-like silhouette. Worn vertically, they create a cleaner, calmer line.
Sold individually, it can be worn alone or paired asymmetrically with an earring you already own. The polished quality of pearl is balanced by the casual character of the twin form, making it suitable for everything from daily wear to more polished outfits. Please purchase two for a matching pair.
Details
This earring uses a twin pearl formed naturally when two Akoya pearls grew connected together. The overall size is approximately 10–12 mm as a guide, but because the natural form is preserved, size, shape, color, and the balance between the two pearls vary from piece to piece. The exact scale may also vary slightly depending on each sourcing lot.
While twin pearls are notable for their unusual shape, the TWIN series also places strong emphasis on beautiful luster. Through relationships with pearl suppliers in Ise-Shima that began when januka designed the lapel pins for the Ise-Shima Summit, we select the most lustrous examples possible from among many twins. The body is K10 yellow gold and the earring post is K18 yellow gold.

Q. 「アコヤ真珠（アコヤパール）」とはどのような真珠ですか？
A.アコヤ真珠とは、主に日本の豊かな海（三重県伊勢志摩、愛媛県宇和島、長崎県など）に生息する「アコヤ貝」から生まれる、日本を代表する伝統的な真珠です。
他の真珠に比べてキメが細かく、鏡のように強く美しい光沢（テリ）と凛とした気品を持っているのが最大の魅力です。古くから冠婚葬祭や高級ジュエリーに用いられ、世界中で愛されている宝石です。
Q. なぜ2つの真珠がくっついた「双子」の形になるのですか？
A.アコヤ貝の体内で真珠層が形成される過程で、偶然2つの真珠の核がくっつき、そのまま1つの真珠層に包まれて成長することで生まれます。
自然の偶然と生命の神秘によって生み出されるため、採掘される真珠の中でもごくわずかしか手に入らない大変希少な存在です。janukaでは、その個性的で愛らしいフォルムとテリの美しさを兼ね備えた twins パールを厳選してお仕立てしております。
Q. 「無調色（むちょうしょく）」とはどういう意味ですか？
A.調色処理（ピンク系などの色味を人工的に整える加工）を一切行わず、「海から揚がったままの自然な色合い」を生かした状態のことです。
一般的な真珠の多くは色味を整える加工が施されますが、無調色のアコヤ真珠は、ひとつひとつ微妙に異なる透明感のあるホワイト、ほのかに透けるブルーやピンク、ゴールドといった天然ならではの深みとニュアンスのある美しさを持っています。
Q. アコヤ真珠を取り扱う上で、気をつけるべき注意点はありますか？
A.真珠は水や汗、酸（化粧品や香水など）にとても繊細な宝石です。長く美しい状態を保つために、以下の点にご注意ください。
着用はメイク・香水の後に： メイク、日焼け止め、香水、ヘアスプレーなどをすべて使い終わった一番最後にジュエリーを着用してください。
水濡れ・入浴は避ける： 汗や水が付着したまま放置するとテリが曇る原因となります。お風呂、温泉、プール、手洗い時は必ず外してください。
ご使用後のお手入れ： お出かけから戻られたら、眼鏡拭きなどの柔らかい布で汗や皮脂を優しく拭き取ってから保管してください。
保管方法： 硬い宝石や金属製ジュエリーとぶつかると真珠の表面に傷がついてしまうため、個別のポーチやケースに入れて保管するのがおすすめです。
Q. Can I see and try on the pieces in person? Can I also purchase from outside Japan?
A.Yes. You can view and try on pieces from our online store at our flagship store in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo.
We also offer international shipping via DHL. International orders are subject to a shipping fee of ¥7,000 in addition to the product price. Any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.
